May Program

FUNKY FISH

With Judith MacLaren

BASECOAT BEFORE COMING TO CLASS

CHOOSE A TROPICAL GREEN OR A TROPICAL BLUE for BASECOAT…..

After sealing (see below) basecoat surface making it streaky so it looks like water !- I usually work wet on wet so the colors blend together BUT do not blend too much--- just drag the brush across the surface with one of your “water “ colors on it over the other “water “color… use white as well ! MOST IMPORTANT : do not stress over this and make yourself spend no more that 5 minutes doing this !! This is going to be so much fun you will be so relaxed you won’t want to stop painting the FUNKY FISH !

SUGGESTED COLORS:

white purple, orange, silver, medium yellow, teal green, red, blue, sapphire, varnish

OR any colors in your collection of paint may be used ………just think BRIGHT !

Before beginning it is important to prepare your surface to accept paint. This means on wood use wood sealer or multi purpose sealer, on tin use a tin prep, glass use glass prep, porcelain need no preparation .
